All accounts are created with a default group named My First Group, which contains:
- The profile of the User that created the account
- The number provided* by Sakari when you opened the account
Managing My First Group
When there is one or fewer dedicated phone numbers in Sakari, please:
- don't delete My First Group
- don't create another Group
- ensure all Users are added to My First Group
You can rename 'My First Group', add Users and Tags, and change the Sender. Please see Create and Manage Groups for detailed steps.

What is My First Group for?
My First Group serves two functions:
- enables the first user(s) on an account to send messages
- creates a corresponding Inbox where these messages and responses can be viewed
Users can only send from and view messages that use a specific number once their user profile is added to a Group that contains the number.
Why is there no number in My First Group?
*Sakari provides one dedicated US, CA, UK or FR number free of charge for all US, CA, UK and FR accounts (dependent on availability).
If you are outside the US, Canada or the UK, or no dedicated numbers are available for France, no number will appear in My First Group. In this scenario, your messages will be sent from the Sakari shared pool of phone numbers.
