Phone Numbers

One free dedicated long-code number is provided automatically for all new Trial accounts based in:

• United States (local area code number provided by default, can be exchanged for toll-free)
• Canada (local area code number provided by default, can be exchanged for toll-free)
• United Kingdom (long-code domestic mobile number)
• France (long-code domestic mobile number, dependent on availability)

The number is configured when the account is created and remains dedicated to the account unless it is deleted.

Messages from Trial accounts based outside the US, Canada, UK or France are sent from the Sakari shared pool of phone numbers.  After subscribing, one or more dedicated numbers can be added to the account.

Trial Limitations

All trial accounts are subject to the following limitations before upgrading to a paid plan:

• No links, emails, and images can be included in message body
• No purchasing additional / dedicated numbers
• No additional messaging credit can be purchased

Additional messaging limitations - US and Canada

US

Trial accounts in the US will be configured with a US local area code number and enrolled in a Platform Free Trial 10DLC Campaign.  Messaging is restricted as follows:

• Links, emails, images cannot be included in message content

These restrictions are lifted when the Trial account is upgraded to a paid subscription.  The additional restrictions of the Platform Free Trial Campaign are:

• Message sending to ten (10) unique contacts that opt-in via keyword
  Test contacts must text 'START' into your Sakari number visible from the senders tab.
• Sakari Trial watermark on every message

These restrictions are lifted when the US local number provided by Sakari with your Trial account is aligned with an approved 10DLC registration specific to your Brand and messaging.

Canada

Trial accounts in Canada will be configured with a Canadian local area code number.  The number is configured by default to send only to Canada and is not subject to US restrictions.

The US can be added as a destination for your configured number on request during a Trial.  The number will then be subject to the US Platform Free Trial restrictions.

United Kingdom

Trial accounts in the United Kingdom will be configured with a United Kingdom mobile number that supports outbound and inbound SMS messaging in the United Kingdom only.

The UK SMS carriers increasingly expect messaging to be pre-registered against the sending number before maximum deliverability is supported.  Sakari will help you complete the registration process.

All other countries

Your Sakari Free Trial comes pre-configured to start sending messages to numbers outside of the US and UK.
