Default Country

The Default Country of a Sakari account is:

  • used to parse numbers missing country codes from contact imports and 3rd party integrations.
  • used to calculate the estimated segments remaining for your account

Your Default Country can be updated here: https://hub.sakari.io/settings/

For example:

Default CountryInternational code added to number
United States+1
United Kingdom+44
Australia+61
France+33

When a phone number synced from an integration has no country code, Sakari adds the country code of the Default Country.

If adding this country code validates the number, a valid Contact record is created in Sakari.  If not, an invalid Contact is created.  Messages cannot be sent from Sakari via an invalid contact record.

Note

Changes to the Default Country are not retroactive.  Contact numbers already synced will not be updated with the code of a new Default Country.
