How does Sakari pricing work?

Pricing Plan Options

Sakari offers variable pricing plans plans starting at $25 USD per month.  All plans include a corresponding amount of usage credit.

All messaging plans can be shared across your entire team, with unlimited users and contacts. Sakari plans have no set-up fees, no contract, unlimited users and unlimited contacts.

  • Plans can be billed monthly or annually (equivalent 1 month free if paying annually!)
  • Any unused credits in a billing period will roll over for a period of 90 days.
  • At any point additional top-up credits can be purchased should you need additional credits, without changing your renewal commitment!

Phone Number Pricing

All Sakari plans include one free dedicated phone number for US, CA, GB, FR, or BE, or an Alphanumeric Sender ID (see supported countries).

Phone numbers for additional countries can be added for an additional price.

How much does it cost to send my message?

The charge per message is based on:

  • Length - the length of your message in segments
  • Plan - Each pricing plan with Sakari has a different per-segment charge rate
  • Destination country - the destination country of your contact will have an associated per-segment rate
  • Plan Duration - annual plans offer a discount on your messaging rates

What is a text message segment?

All phone carriers measure text messages in character batches called segments.  As a rule of thumb, a segment consists of 160 characters, but varying can factors can apply.

What happens if I consume all of my credits? 

You cannot send additional messages if your account's messaging credit balance reaches $0.  

Additional credits can be purchased manually, or automatically at any time, with your messaging will remain at the same per-segment rate as your current messaging plan.

 

Can I change my plan at any time? 

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.  Your per-segment rate is based on the selected plan as showing in your Sakari dashboard.

 

Can I use a pre-paid card?

No.  Due to security risks, we do not accept pre-paid cards.

 

Can I send messages to multiple countries?

You can mix/match messaging across multiple countries with a single Sakari messaging plan. Your messaging plan will have an associated per-segment rate for each country, which can be found here. 

Your account has a messaging credit balance which is measured in US dollars.  When you send a text message to a specific country, your account balance is deducted per message segment at the price (in US dollars) for sending a message segment to that country. 

 

What if I want to receive messages from multiple countries?

When you receive a text message, your account balance is deducted based on the segments and rate of the receiving number from your usage credit
