Requirements
10DLC approval requires a compliant SMS program. For most businesses, this involves updates to your opt-in flow and website.
Before registering a 10DLC campaign, please ensure the following:
- Your End User Opt-in process fully complies with the latest industry standards and regulations
- View our 10DLC Campaign Use Case article for your opt-in stated use case(s)
- Your Privacy Policy explicitly prohibits sharing or using mobile originator / opt-in data for any other purposes other than your SMS program
Even if you've been approved for 10DLC with Sakari or another platform previously, new campaign submissions will be required to meet updated standards for approval.
Opt-in
A compliant SMS opt-in must contain all of the following elements
- Opt-in must be optional and mobile specific
- Brand name
- Messaging use case
- Message Frequency (# msgs/mo, msg frequency varies, etc)
- Message and data rates may apply disclosure (msg&data rates may apply)
- Help Instructions (e.g. Reply HELP for Help)
- Opt-out Instructions (e.g. Reply STOP to opt-out)
- Your Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions must be clear and conspicuous
The following is an example of a compliant webform SMS opt-in

Privacy Policy
Your Privacy Policy must explicitly exclude sharing of text message originator opt-in data and consent.
This can be included in the Sharing/Use section of your business' Privacy Policy or included as a separate section of your Privacy Policy.
Template:
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Any other mentions in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. If you wish to be removed from receiving future communications, you can opt out by texting STOP.
Submission Checklist
- Opt-in is compliant and accessible to reviewers
- Privacy Policy contains compliant mobile originator opt-in data and consent clause
- Selected use cases are consistent and represented for opt-in, description, and sample messages
- Selected campaign options are consistent with sample messages
- (If applicable) Website is properly age gated where required
Registering
Once you are sure you meet the requirements, you can submit your 10DLC application from Senders section of the Sakari dashboard.
- Click Register under the Compliance column for the number you wish to register.
Additional numbers
A single 10DLC registration can be used for up to 49 local phone numbers. Please contact our support team to submit a number pooling request for campaigns requiring 50+
Timing
With a fully compliant campaign, please expect 12 - 15 business days for approval. Any rejections will reset the approval timeline.
