Hosted number no longer Active

SMS services reclaimed

If the status of a hosted number changes from Active to Verified, it's likely that the original provider has reclaimed the number's SMS services.  

As the voice provider for the number, it is their prerogative to do so.  It typically occurs as a result of an automated auditing process, but unfortunately, without prior warning. 

Sakari changes the number's status automatically to prevent chargeable messages from being sent that would not be delivered.

To continue using the number in Sakari, we can request that the SMS services be returned to us.  An LOA signed in the last 30 days is required.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Reach out to help@sakari.io
  2. Provide a signee name, email address and business address for the new LOA
  3. Complete and sign the LOA electronically

Once signed, the number's status in the Senders section will change to Pending.

Re-hosting should take no longer than the original hosting timeframe and is often faster.  If the status of the number remains 'Pending' for 5 days after signing the LOA, please request an update from Sakari Support.
