Create custom text messaging reports in HubSpot

Create custom HubSpot dashboard reports based on your text messaging activity, using the custom HubSpot contact properties created by the Sakari integration.

This article covers how to create the most common text messaging reports in HubSpot. 

Note: Some reports require setting up HubSpot workflows to populate the Total SMS Sent and Total SMS Received SMS quantity properties: Populate the SMS Sent Quantity and SMS Received SMS Quantity properties in HubSpot

Total SMS Sent by Contact Owner (Donut Chart)

The sum of text messages sent by Contact Owner.

Note: this report uses the SMS Sent Quantity property.

 Configuration

1. In HubSpot, in the top navigation menu go to Reports > Dashboards.

2. Click the Create Custom Report button in the top right.

3. Select a Single Object report type using Contacts.

4. On the Data tab, add the SMS Sent Quantity contact property.  

5. Click the Visualization tab, select the Donut chart type.

6. In the Displaying section add the Contact Owner property.

7. In the Measured by section, add the SMS Sent Quantity property.

Total SMS Received by Contact Owner (Donut Chart)

The sum of text messages received by Contact Owner.

Note: this report uses the SMS Received Quantity property.  This property require a workflow to automatically track the total received quantity.  This article walks through how to set those up: Total Sent and Received SMS Quantities

Configuration

1. In HubSpot, in the top navigation menu go to Reports > Dashboards.

2. Click the Create Custom Report button in the top right.

3. Select a Single Object report type using Contacts.

4. On the Data tab, add the SMS Received Quantity contact property.  

5. Click the Visualization tab, select the Donut chart type.

6. In the Displaying section add the Contact Owner property.

7. In the Measured by section, add the SMS Received Quantity property.

Count of Contacts by date of last SMS sent

The count of contacts based on the last text message sent date.

 Configuration

3. Select a Single Object report type using Contacts.

4. On the Data tab, add the Message Sent At contact property.  

5. Click the Visualization tab, select the Line chart type. 

6. In the Display section add the Message Sent At property.

7. In the Measured by section add the Count of Contacts.

Total SMS Sent/Received by Contact Owner

The sum total of text messages sent and received by Contact Owner.

6. In the Displaying section add the Contact Owner property.

7. In the Measured by section add the SMS Received Quantity and SMS Sent Quantity properties.

Contacts Opted-Out by Date

The count of contacts that have opted out of text messaging by date.

Configuration

1. In HubSpot, in the top navigation menu go to Reports > Dashboards.

2. Click the Create Custom Report button in the top right.

3. Select a Single Object report type using Contacts.

4. On the Data tab, add the Opted Out contact property.  

5. Click the Visualization tab, select the Line chart type. 

6. In the Displaying section add the Opted Out property.

7. In the Measured by section add the Count of Contacts property.
