An SMS Conversation is the thread of outbound and inbound SMS messages exchanged between a specific Sender (outbound number) in Sakari and a particular Contact.
All messages to/from the same contact to/from the same Sender appear in chronological order in one Conversation in the Sakari Inbox.
An Inbox Conversation can be started by an outbound or inbound message. It includes all message history from the initial message until the Conversation is archived.
Creating messages from different origins (e.g. triggered by an external automation versus a manual reply from the Sakari inbox) does not impact threading in a Conversation.
Notes
- Sakari automatically uses the same number to send subsequent messages to the contact in the same Conversation
- Only one active Conversation can exist in Sakari between a single Sender and a contact at any one time
- Multiple contemporaneous conversations with the same contact can exist, if started from different Senders
- Messages in a Conversation were sent and received via the Group of the same name as the Inbox in which the Conversation is found
