Format Pipedrive contact telephone numbers for SMS

Contact telephone numbers in Pipedrive intended for SMS should include the country code and no extra punctuation. This is the standard format used by SMS carriers globally, known as E.164 format.

Where possible, please ensure that contact telephone numbers are formatted in this way on the Pipedrive Person record before connecting the Pipedrive integration in Sakari.

For example:

CountryE.164 format
United States+1##########
United Kingdom+44##########
Australia+61##########
France+33###########

Default Country

When a phone number synced from Pipedrive has no country code, Sakari adds the country code of the Default Country for the account.

If adding this country code validates the number, a valid Contact record is created in Sakari.  If not, an invalid Contact is created.  Messages cannot be sent from Sakari via an invalid contact record.

The Default Country is editable in Settings > Account Settings > General.
