Introduction to Workflows

Sakari Workflows help you automate business processes, streamline customer communications, and reduce manual work by connecting actions, decisions, and events into a single automated flow.

Instead of manually managing follow-ups, updating contact records, or responding to customer interactions, Workflows allow you to build automated processes that react to events and perform actions automatically.

Whether you're routing inbound leads, managing customer journeys, updating contact data, triggering notifications, or automating team processes, Sakari Workflows help your organization work more efficiently at scale.

Note: Access to Workflows requires a subscription plan of Growth, Scale or Enterprise.

Why Use Workflows?

Manual processes can be time-consuming, inconsistent, and difficult to scale. Workflows automate repetitive tasks and ensure contacts receive the right communication or experience based on their actions.

By automating routine processes, your team can focus on higher-value activities while maintaining consistent customer engagement and operational efficiency.

How Workflows Work

Workflows are built from two core components: Enrollment Triggers and Actions.

Enrollment Triggers → Workflows start when a specific event occurs — such as a contact being created, a message being received, or a link being clicked. Enrollment Triggers define when and how contacts enter a workflow.

Actions Once enrolled, contacts move through a series of actions that execute automatically. Actions can be one of several types:

  • Communication — Send SMS or MMS messages to contacts
  • Contact Management — Update contacts, add or remove contacts from lists
  • Logic — Branch, filter, split, and make decisions based on contact data
  • Delays — Pause a workflow for a set time or until a specific event occurs
  • Data Ops — Read from or write to external data sources like Google Sheets
  • Integration — Create deals, meetings, tickets, and activities in connected CRM platforms

Each Enrolled Contact that passes the Enrollment Trigger filters/conditions is considered one "Workflow Execution". Each Workflow Execution consumes "1 Workflow Credit*" in Sakari's billing system. *See Sakari Plans for details.

The Result

Sakari Workflows help eliminate manual tasks, improve response times, and create consistent customer experiences by automating the processes your team performs every day.
