Opt Out Keywords
Replies of Stop, Cancel, End, Optout, Opt-out, Quit, Unsubscribe, will automatically opt-out contacts from receiving messages from your Sakari phone number. A default message will automatically be triggered to your contact when they unsubscribe.
When a stop keyword is received, this will prevent the contact from receiving any further messages from your Sakari phone number. Within Sakari, the phone number is automatically blocklisted, and all subsequent message attempts will fail to send.
Only single-word messages will trigger the phone number block. For example, a reply of "STOP" will stop the contact from receiving messages from that specific Sakari phone number, but replying "Please Stop" or "Cancel Please" would not.
The opt-out message sent is dependent on the provider of the phone number.
Example Default Reply #1
NETWORK MSG: You replied with the word "stop", which blocks all texts sent from this number. Text back "unstop" to receive messages again.
Example Default Reply #2
[Brand]: You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resume.
START Response (Opt in, un-Opt out)
A message or reply of "START" or "UNSTOP" will opt contacts into or back into the messages coming from your Sakari phone number. A default message (depending on provider) will automatically be triggered to your contact when they re-subscribe.
Default Reply Example 1:
Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel
Default Reply Example 2:
You have successfully been re-subscribed to messages from this number. Reply HELP for help, Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.
HELP Response
When your contact responds with the word HELP, Sakari will automatically return a text message with the following structure:
"{Business Name} Alerts: Help at {phone/email/website} or {phone/email/website}. Msg&data rates may apply. {Message frequency}. Text STOP to cancel."
