Configure a user for Sakari

Enable Sakari messaging for Users by configuring their profile in Sakari.  Sakari accounts allow unlimited users to be added for free.

  • Users must have a Sakari profile
  • Users must be added to the appropriate Sakari Group to view messages
  • User permissions to send messages must be granted individually for each Group on the account
  • Messages from a specific Sender are only visible to users added to that Sender's Group

Note: User setup requires actions in Sakari from an account Administrator and the individual user

1. [Administrator] Add user email to Sakari

This step grants access to the Sakari platform by email and password.

  1. Go to hub.sakari.io/settings/users
  2. Add user email in Invite team members
  3. Select the permission set for the user (see Add, Manage, and Remove Users for more info)
  4. Click 'Invite'

For additional information on adding, managing and removing users, please consult our article Add, Manage, and Remove Users

2. [User] Add user name to email profile

Users must complete this step before they can be added to a Group.

1. The user receives an email invitation to join the Sakari account:

2. The user is required to add their name when first logging in to Sakari.

3. [Administrator] Configure access to Senders and messaging via Groups

Add a user's profile to a Group to permit them to:

  • send messages using the Sender in the Group
  • see messages (outbound and inbound) that use the Sender in the Group

In the example below, the users in the 'Sales Team' Group have these permissions for the number beginning 866:

Please refer to Create and Manage Groups for detailed instructions.

Troubleshooting/FAQ

Added user but cannot add to Group / not appearing in dropdown

The User's profile must be completed via the invite before that User can be added to a Group.

If the user has added their name but does not appear in the dropdown, use a partial name search in the User field in the Group.

I want each user to have a dedicated number in Sakari

Great!  Add each Sender to Sakari, create a Group for each Sender and then add the specific user's profile to the Group.
