Enable Sakari messaging for Pipedrive users by configuring their User profile in Sakari. Sakari accounts allow unlimited users to be added for free.
- Users must have a Sakari profile to utilize the integration
- Users must be added to the appropriate Sakari Group to view messages in the Sakari widget in Pipedrive
- User permissions to send messages must be granted individually for each Group on the account
- Messages from a specific Sender are only visible to users added to that Sender's Group
Note: User setup requires actions in Sakari from an account Administrator and the individual Pipedrive user.
1. [Administrator] Add user email to Sakari
This step grants access to the Sakari platform by email and password.
- Go to hub.sakari.io/settings/users
- Add user email in Invite team members
- Select the permission set for the user (see Add, Manage, and Remove Users for more info)
- Click 'Invite'
Sakari user profiles must be created from the same email used to log in to Pipedrive.
For additional information on adding, managing and removing users, please consult our article Add, Manage, and Remove Users
2. [User] Add user name to email profile
Users must complete this step before they can be added to a Group.
1. The user receives an email invitation to join the Sakari account:
2. The user is required to add their name when first logging in to Sakari.
3. [Administrator] Configure access to Senders and messaging via Groups
Add a user's profile to a Group to permit them to:
- send messages from within Pipedrive using the Sender in the Group
- see messages (outbound and inbound) in Pipedrive that use the Sender in the Group
In the example below, the users in the 'Sales Team' Group have these permissions for the number beginning 866:
Please refer to Create and Manage Groups for detailed instructions.
4. [Administrator] Connect all Pipedrive users to the Sakari integration
- Go to the Pipedrive App Marketplace
- Select the ellipsis (three dots) menu
- Go to User Management
- Ensure all users are selected
- Save these settings
Note: if you add a new user to Pipedrive, you must disconnect and reconnect Pipedrive to Sakari. This is due to changes made by Pipedrive after we created our integration.
Troubleshooting/FAQ
Added user but cannot add to Group / not appearing in dropdown
The User's profile must be completed via the invite before that User can be added to a Group.
If the user has added their name but does not appear in the dropdown, use a partial name search in the User field in the Group.
No "Send Message" button in Pipedrive for user
The "Send Message" button in Pipedrive is only available for the single user who connects to Pipedrive through the Sakari Hub. Other users can still send messages using the "Conversations" button, which opens the Sakari pop-up window.
Can't connect users to Sakari from within Pipedrive
Connecting or inviting users directly to the Sakari integration from within Pipedrive is not required or supported. Please ignore any requests from Pipedrive to do so.
Do my users need to be Administrators to use the integration?
Users do not need to be an Admin in Sakari or Pipedrive to use the integration.
I want each Pipedrive user to have a dedicated number in Sakari.
Great! Add each Sender to Sakari, create a Group for each Sender and then add the specific user's profile to the Group.
