[Workflows] Message Received (Inline Trigger)

This is a Sakari Workflows feature and is currently in Beta.

To request access to the beta, please complete this survey.

Overview

This inline trigger will enroll a contact or output contact into the workflow when a message is received from the defined contact

Setup

To configure this trigger, you will set the criteria to list for the event of a defined contact sending an SMS to a specified group.

The inline trigger will branch into 2 paths:

  • Messaged received
    • A message matching the defined criteria must occur prior to the selected timeout
  • Timeout
    • No message matching the defined criteria is received

Contact

  • Select the contact that Sakari will be listening for an incoming message from
    • Enrollment Contact
    • Output Contact

Group

  • Select the group which the incoming message should be received in

Timeout

  • Set time to wait for trigger before continuing down timeout path.
  • Max wait time: 7 days
    • Deselect Apply max wait time checkbox to manually input time

Note:

This inline trigger functions slightly differently than the Message Received Enrollment Trigger and cannot be used to start a workflow.

Output Properties

Output properties [add article link] are properties that an action or trigger generates that can be used by other triggers and actions downstream in your workflow.

This inline trigger generates the following property option(s):

  • Group
  • Message

Examples

Example 1

Example 2

All contacts that make it through the workflow to the Message Received Inline Trigger must pass through one of the two branches.  If a message is not received within the configured timeout, the contact will either continue to the next configured action or trigger, or end of none configured.
