MSG-043 Error - Free URL shorteners are blocked by carriers

What does the MSG-043 Error mean?

If a message you sent is not delivered to the end device and returns an MSG-043 error code, Sakari has blocked this message because it included a link shortened with a free URL shortener.

You can send text messages with full and shortened domains, although carriers prefer full domains.

URL shorteners can be used in SMS to deliver custom links, but please avoid public and shared domain shorteners.

Pro Tip:

We offer a free URL shortener on all Sakari paid accounts.  You can learn more about that here: Sakari URL Shortener
